من المذهل التفكير في أنه من ست سنوات فقط لم يكن YouTube موجودًا. منذ ذلك الحين، قد جمّعت هذه المنصة للفيديو مشاهد وأصوات من جميع أنحاء العالم – ليكون أكبر تشكيلة من نوعها. و منذ بداية موقع YouTube، كان المستخدمين في الوطن العربي نشطين في هذا الموقع العالمي، وذلك من خلال مشاهدة ورفع والنقاش على مقاطع الفيديو. وعلى الرغم من أن YouTube هي خدمة عالمية، نحن نحاول أن نضفي عليها الطابع المحلي بقدر الإمكان. لذلك في الخريف الماضي، قدمنا العربية كأحد خيارات اللغة لأول مرة، ونحن نعمل الآن على تعميق تجربة YouTube من خلال إطلاقها في سبعة بلدان في الشرق الأوسط وهي: الجزائر ومصر والأردن والمغرب والمملكة العربية السعودية وتونس واليمن.
تعني النسخة المحلية من YouTube أن المستخدمين الذين يزورون الموقع ستظهر لهم على الصفحة الرئيسية مقاطع الفيديو الأكثر شيوعًا في بلدانهم إلى جانب تلك المقاطع التي تزداد شيوعًا. لذلك إذا أنشأت فيديو ورفعته على الموقع ، فمن المحتمل أن يتمكن أشخاص آخرون في بلدك – وربما في جميع أنحاء العالم – من العثور على ما أنشأته وشاهدته.
بالطبع لا يقتصر موقع YouTube على مقاطع فيديو عن كيفية رسم الشخصيات الكرتونية من دينا كرادشة، أومقاطع فكاهية من قناة على راسي دوت كم .فحتى الشركات الكبيرة مثل مجموعة ميلودي الموسيقية التي مقرها مصر، لديها قناة على YouTube. والتي تحتوي على من مقاطع الفيديو من هذه القناة ومن أشهرها مقطع الفنان الشهير راغب علامة، و الفنانة نانسي عجرم التي تمت مشاهدة فيديو أغنيتها "في حاجات" ما يقرب من 13 مليون مرة. وفي عالم متواصل حيث يتحدى تبادل المعلومات سرعة الفكر، تصل شبكتا الأخبار الدوليتان العربية والجزيرة إلى الجمهور على مستوى العالم بسرعة عبر قناتيهما على موقع YouTube.
بالطبع، يعكس مجتمع YouTube العالم بأسره، باختلافاته الشاسعة العرقية والدينية والقومية واللغوية والسياسية وغيرها. ولن يُرضي كل شيء على YouTube الجميع، نحن نحث جميع المستخدمين على المشاركة بفاعلية، والتعرف على القواعد والإبلاغ عن المحتوى الذي قد ينتهك هذه القواعد.و في النهاية، موقع YouTube هو مكان للحوار و لتبادل جميع أنواع الأفكار، ونأمل أن تشارك المستخدمين من جميع أنحاء العالم في أفكارك وابداعاتك.
YouTube Launches in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Yemen
It’s amazing to think that just six years ago, YouTube didn’t exist. Since then, the video platform has assembled sights and sounds from around the world -- the largest collection of its kind. From YouTube’s inception, people in the Middle East have been active members of the global community, both watching and uploading countless videos. Even though YouTube is a global service, we try to make it as local as possible. Last fall, we offered Arabic as a language choice for the first time, and now we’re deepening the local YouTube experience by launching in seven countries in the Middle East: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Yemen.
A local version of YouTube means that people who visit the site will see on the homepage the most popular videos in their home country along with those that are rising in popularity. If you create and upload a video, other people in your country -- and possibly around the world -- are more likely to be able to find and watch your creation.
Jordan’s DinaKaradsheh, who uploads how-to-draw cartoon character videos, and 3alarasidotcom who creates animated shorts, are just some of the people already using YouTube. YouTube also has entertainment companies, like Egypt-based Melody Music Group. The label has uploaded several videos from chart-topping musician Ragheb Alama and Nancy Ajram, whose video Fi Hagat has been viewed nearly 13 million times. And, in an interconnected world where the exchange of information rivals the speed of thought, international news networks Al Arabia and Al Jazeera reach a global audience quickly via their YouTube channels.
Of course, the YouTube community reflects the whole world, with its vast differences of ethnicity, religion, nationality, language, politics and more. Not everything on YouTube will please everyone, and we encourage people to actively participate, learn the rules and flag content that might violate them. In the end, YouTube is a place where people go to exchange all kinds of ideas, and we hope you will join the conversation.
